This Privacy Policy explains how Ovhal Trading Company ("we", "us", "our"), the operator of the Agrow Mitra WhatsApp-based AI agronomy service ("the Service"), collects, uses, and protects your information. By using the Service, you agree to the practices described in this Policy.

2. Information We Collect

We collect only what is needed to deliver the Service:

  • Contact information — your WhatsApp phone number and the name you provide.
  • Location information — the pincode (or equivalent postal code) you share with us, used to understand the region you grow in.
  • Crop information — photographs of plants you send to us, and the messages you exchange with the bot.
  • Service metadata — timestamps, message identifiers, and language detected from your messages, which we use to operate and improve the Service.

We do not collect government identification numbers, payment information, biometric data, or precise GPS coordinates.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Diagnose the crop problem you ask about.
  • Recommend appropriate treatments, products, and application guidance.
  • Respond to your questions and provide customer support.
  • Operate, maintain, and improve the quality and accuracy of the Service.
  • Comply with applicable legal obligations.

We do not use your information for advertising and we do not build advertising profiles.

4. How We Share Your Information

We share your information only with the following categories of recipients, and only as needed to deliver the Service:

  • WhatsApp and Meta. Because the Service is delivered over WhatsApp, your messages and media are transmitted through WhatsApp's infrastructure and are subject to WhatsApp's and Meta's own policies. Please review Meta's Privacy Policy for details about how Meta processes WhatsApp data.
  • AI service providers. To diagnose crop problems and generate responses, the photos and messages you send may be processed by trusted AI providers. These providers process the data only to generate a response back to you and do not use your data to train their public models when accessed through Agrow Mitra.
  • Cloud infrastructure providers. We store conversation data in secured cloud databases and hosting providers used to operate the Service.
  • Legal and safety. We may disclose information if we reasonably believe it is necessary to comply with a legal obligation, enforce our terms, or protect the rights, property, or safety of our users, ourselves, or others.

We do not sell or rent your personal information to anyone. We do not share your information with advertisers or data brokers.

5. Data Retention

We keep your information only as long as it is needed to provide the Service and for a reasonable period afterwards for support, dispute resolution, and legal compliance. Photographs and conversation data from inactive sessions are routinely deleted as part of regular maintenance. You may request earlier deletion at any time (see Section 7).

6. Children's Privacy

The Service is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you.
  • Correct information that is inaccurate or out of date.
  • Delete your data. You can request deletion at any time by sending the word "DELETE" to us on WhatsApp, or by emailing us at the address in Section 12. We will delete your data within a reasonable period after verifying your identity.
  • Object to certain processing of your information.
  • Withdraw consent for any processing that relies on consent.

8. Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information. Access to user data is restricted to authorised personnel who need it to operate the Service. While we take security seriously, no system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. International Data Transfers

The Service uses cloud infrastructure and AI providers that may store or process data in countries other than the one you live in. By using the Service, you understand that your information may be transferred to and processed in those countries. We take steps to ensure that any such transfers are protected by appropriate safeguards.

We may update this Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes will be communicated through the Service. Your continued use of the Service after a change means you accept the updated Policy.
